Staying in Nevada, Dr. Heyse obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.
Immediately following dental school, he was commissioned as an officer into the United States Air Force Dental Corps and completed an additional year of training in general dentistry earning a residency certificate from an Air Force AEGD-1 training program. Dr. Heyse spent a total of 6 years as a general dentist serving United States Airmen and their families at multiple duty stations from Virginia to Japan completing his military commitment at the rank of Major.
Upon separation from the military, Dr. Heyse garnered his Master of Science and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Minnesota. He then went on to achieve Diplomate status of the American Board of Endodontics completing the strenuous three part: written, oral, and case presentation components of the board certification process. This is an accomplishment achieved by only approximately 25% of currently practicing endodontists. He holds active memberships in the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metropolitan Denver Dental Society. Dr. Heyse is also a member and guest lecturer in several local study clubs.
In his spare time Dr. Heyse enjoys Denver’s offerings by taking advantage of its great restaurants, unique concert venues, and multitude of collegiate and professional sporting events with his wife and two children.
